Corporate eWaste Solutions to Host Free Electronics Collection Event at Westfield Topanga

Canoga Park community invited to responsibly recycle unwanted electronics on Saturday, June 13

CANOGA PARK, Calif. (June 4, 2026) — Corporate eWaste Solutions (CEWS) will host a free Electronic Collection Event at Westfield Topanga on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., giving residents across the San Fernando Valley a convenient, environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted electronics. The event takes place at the drop-off station located at 21710 Vanowen Street, Canoga Park, CA 91303, and is free and open to the public.

As households and businesses replace aging devices at an accelerating pace, electronic waste has become one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the country, often ending up in landfills where it can release harmful materials into soil and water. The collection event offers the community a simple alternative: drop off old electronics with a certified recycler that keeps these materials out of the landfill and securely destroys any data the devices contain.

“Every device dropped off is one less piece of electronics in a landfill and one more opportunity to recover valuable materials,” said Eric Chu, CEO of CEWS. “We want responsible recycling to be the easy choice for our community, which is why we’re bringing a free, secure collection event right to Westfield Topanga.”

Residents are invited to bring laptops, smartphones, tablets, televisions, computers, printers, cables, and chargers. To protect participants’ privacy, all data-bearing devices are processed in accordance with NIST 800-88 and U.S. Department of Defense data destruction standards. Household batteries and light bulbs cannot be accepted at this event.
